During January 2005 I attended an IL Conference in Buenos Aires coordinated by the Reynolds, focusing on living and investing in Argentina . Subsequent to the conference I invested in a forestry project, bought two lots in a golf estate in Patagonia and an apartment in Buenos Aires .

When I say "subsequent" it does not mean that I made my decisions at the conference or immediately thereafter. I looked at alternatives and consulted concerns not present or mentioned at the conference whom I came to know about on the internet or through other sources. In the end however I was back with those referred to at the conference as I realized they were the best options in terms not only of products but also of services offered to non Argentineans.
Thus although I have peace of mind with the investments I made courtesy of all the sources I consulted I could have saved a lot of time and effort by just sticking to those investments and concerns referred to at the conference.
